Whether you have a roll or more of wallpaper hanging around your house, or you intend on purchasing some in the future, it makes a statement after it is hung up on your walls. Wallpaper provides color, patterning, and interesting viewpoints for those who gaze at the walls in rooms where it is present. In addition to using wallpaper traditionally, consider one or more of the following interior design tricks to incorporate wallpaper products into your home's aesthetics.

Cover Flower Pots And Vases

Spice up existing containers with a burst of color and unique texture with a layer of wallpaper. Simply cut wallpaper to fit around flower pots, vases, bowls, or boxes. If you do not wish for the wallpaper to permanently adorn these containers, use double-sided tape rather than glue to secure the paper to the items. You also have the ability to swap out the paper when you wish to revitalize a room with a new color scheme.

Use Wallpaper As A Picture Underlay

If you intend on hanging photographs, paintings, or prints upon your walls, try using wallpaper as a backdrop instead of a solid-colored underlay. Remove the existing underlay from a frame and set the focus of your project into place so that it rests upon the back of the pane of glass of the frame. Cover the backing of the picture with a piece of wallpaper in the pattern and color you chose. Affix the wallpaper to the back of the picture using glue or tape. Make sure the printed side is flush with the back of the picture and replace the picture frame back over the glue side of the wallpaper. This will draw attention to the picture in a new way.

Change Dresser Or Table Surfaces

Match your wooden furniture with your room's decor by adding wallpaper to flat surfaces such as table tops or drawers. Wallpaper works much like contact paper, only glue is used to secure it in place instead of a sticky backing. Cut wallpaper into shapes and affix them to furnishings to create whimsical themes. If you decide to change the appearance of the furnishings in the future, wallpaper remover needs to be applied to soften it so it can be moved away from the wood without damaging the finish in the process. You can then add new wallpaper to the surfaces to change up the atmosphere of the room with ease.
